Shady Banks Area 5 – Basin C

This project includes the installation of approximately 15,986 LF of 8" Gravity Sewer System including, laterals and appurtenances. Installation of approximately 67 manholes, as well as the required connections to existing manhole.

Completed Improvements

·         All sanitary sewer has been installed within the interior portion of the neighborhood from SW 12 Court south to SW 16 Street west from SW 14 Avenue to SW 20 Avenue.

·         Testing and restoration will continue on:

o        SW 14 Court between SW 15 Avenue and SW 17 Avenue

o        All streets south of SW 14 Court including SW 15 Avenue, SW 15 Terrace, SW 16 Terrace, and SW 16 Street between SW 15 Terrace and SW 16 Terrace

Ongoing Improvements

o        Construction is currently taking place on SW 17 Avenue from SW 12 Court to Davie Boulevard and east along Davie Boulevard to SW 15 Avenue then south to SW 12 Court.

o        At times during this work, the entrance to Shady Banks on SW 17 Avenue will be closed and SW 15 Avenue is utilized as an entrance and an exit from the subdivision with 2 way traffic. 

o        The construction company will divert the two lanes of eastbound traffic to the continuous left-turn lane (median/center lane) on Davie Boulevard starting from SW 19 Avenue and ending at the intersection of SW 15 Avenue. The southern eastbound lane will remain closed to traffic during the evening hours; the inner lane will reopen to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic lanes will remain unchanged throughout the progression of this phase of the project.

Restoration

·         Restoration is complete on SW 12 Court west from SW 18 Avenue to SW 14 Avenue, SW 13 Street between SW 18 Avenue and SW 14 Avenue, SW 14 Avenue between SW 12 Court and SW 13 Court, SW 13 Court between SW 18 Avenue and SW 17 Avenue, SW 14 Street between SW 18 Avenue and SW 15 Terrace.

·         Restoration is complete in the area of SW 19 Avenue, SW 20 Avenue, SW 16 Street, SW 16 Court, SW 14 Court west of SW 19 Avenue. This area tested and certified.

·         Restoration is ongoing on SW 15 Terrace between SW 13 Court and SW 16 Street, SW 15 Avenue between SW 13 Court and SW 16 Street, SW 13 Court between SW 15 Avenue and SW 17 Avenue, SW 16 Street between SW 15 Avenue and SW 17 Street.

*The swale area is the responsibility of the property owner to maintain. The contractor will only maintain new sod for 8 weeks and then the property owner must continue. If the sod is not watered, it will not survive.
