Vision

To provide a premiere utility infrastructure for the sustainable future of our community.

Mission

  • Provide modern wastewater service to all customers
  • Improve the quality and reliability of drinking water for all customers to maximize the benefits to the community
  • Optimize use of financial resources and assure financial viability of the program
  • Leave capabilities in place to sustain continued development of the infrastructure
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and implement practical ways to help the community cope with construction impacts

Critical Success Factors

  • Complete a water and wastewater system by 2011 that works well for a long time and complies with regulations
  • Initiate construction in 2002
  • Complete Program/Projects on time and on budget
  • Achieve community acceptance
    - Local business are involved
    - Benefits to the community are understood and valued
  • Achieve Commission endorsement at annual program reviews
  • Develop a City Program Management Team that will continue to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop mechanism/funding to facilitate connections to the new collection system

  • We will maintain a flexible approach to meet the variable needs of the program, adapting quickly to public requirements and policies

  • We take responsibility for the health and safety of our employees. We will train the Program team to maintain a safe work environment and aim for a Program free from accidents.
